The decision by Paul Trible of Christopher Newport University to drop the nursing and education programs reinforces my observation the the the government is no longer a republic or democracy. It is a kakistocracy - government by the least qualified or most unprincipled citizens. (Definition taken from the American Heritage Dictionary).

Here are two vital professions in which there are insufficient personnel to fill the vacancies and the education programs are curtailed. Why not drop something useless like political science.
