Citizens Action Coalition Inc. endorses slate of candidates in May election

Takes no position in unopposed race of incumbent Louis Jones

The Board of Directors of the Citizens Action Coalition Inc. (CACI) has announced the slate of candidates for the May 7 City Council election it has endorsed.

• In the Beach District: Richard "RK" Kowalewitch - # 94
• Lynnhaven District: Richard "Rick" Anoia - # 136 on Ballot
• Princess Anne District: J.M. "Jim" Reeve - # 147 on Ballot
• At Large: Robert "Bob" Dyer - # 33 on Ballot
• At Large: Andrea M. Kilmer - # 34 on Ballot

CACI, credited with success in numerous citizen action activities, including opposition to the light rail project, tax increases for libraries and schools, fraud, waste, and abuse in government, refused to consider any of 18 candidates who failed to fully respond to a citizen-oriented questionnaire from the group.  And it declined to lend credence to the unopposed candidacy of Bayside incumbent Louis Jones.

All registered voters may vote for one candidate in each district and two in the at large races no matter where you live in the city.

The election will be May 7.
