Andrea Kilmer, beach businesswoman, announces as candidate for VB City Council
Andrea Kilmer, with extensive experience as a Certified Public Accountant and CFO of ESG companies, announced Friday as a candidate for one of two at-large seats in the May Virginia Beach City Council election.
Despite the fact she describes herself as a 'senior executive with extensive, diverse experience in accounting, finance, operations, administration, business expansion strategies, corporate mergers and acquisitions, budgeting, financial analysis, management reporting and multi-bank credit negotiations, she still claims time to be a tireless wife, mother, hostess and volunteer for positive social/civic activities.
In her announcement statement she said:
"I have been personally involved and followed several issues that have been addressed by the City Council over the last several years.
"In talking with citizens throughout the City, there is a consensus that we need leaders who will listen to our concerns, champion our needs, prioritize our desires and abide by the laws they are sworn to uphold. I want to be one of those leaders.
"My personal agenda is simple. As a life long resident of Virginia Beach, I want to utilize my expertise and experience to give back to the community that has given to me for 45 years."
